Privately owned Australian personalised number plates for sale. DISCUSSION ON VALUES |
Both types are represented on this site. The word 'Investment' if used in relationship to number plates and financial gain is often a total misnomer, so a warning here not to get hooked up in someone else's ego-trip. Some high spirited marketing can and does create an over expectation of plate values. Some people have been led into investing in a plate for the sake of an expected good return, and after spending some hundreds of dollars on advertising, have still not managed to sell them. With the more genuine down to earth approach, plates are more likely to sell because the price and plate name are more acceptable. |
| SELLERS If you have bought a plate for the purposes of making a good profit - then you may have to sit on it a bit before you obtain your asking price. BUYERS If you are buying a plate for your personal use, then what you pay for it is your business. If a plate is valued higher than what you wish, MAKE THE PERSON AN OFFER. It does no harm, and it may make them see a bit of reality. |
The following plate prices would represent far less than 1 percent of plates sold. Maybe 95% of plates would not sell for $1000.
